TECHNICAL PROJECT LEAD, STARLINK SPECIAL PROGRAMS

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for overall program schedule including driving priorities, supporting product definition, analyzing project trades, and obtaining resources for product success as required.
  • Responsible for reporting program status and critical path items to management and stakeholders.
  • Serve as the key technical point of contact for internal and external stakeholders to ensure mass production product meets customer and reliability targets.
  • Identify and own projects and processes that improve overall program success and progress.
  • Work with sales team to identify opportunities that are a good fit for Starlink. Get buy-in and establish resources to support these programs.
  • Manage contracts to make sure we meet schedule while giving technical teams ample time to get work done ahead of milestones.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • 3+ years of experience leading technical projects and analyzing project trades.

PREFERRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

  • 5+ years of experience leading technical projects.
  • Experience with interdisciplinary project management across many departments. Interdisciplinary engineering fundamentals and multidisciplinary project execution is the key to success in this role.
  • Experience developing and presenting concise engineering summaries to drive decision making.
  • Prior experience with the full hardware product life cycle.
  • Capable of working autonomously and solving complex problems to meet project timelines.
  • Experience working with US Department of Defense and Intelligence Communities on complex high-stakes projects.
  • Experience with US Government project management and procurement.
  • Knowledge of international affairs and current US Government capabilities and needs.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be able to travel and work extended hours/weekends as needed.

ITAR REQUIREMENTS:

  • To conform to U.S. Government space technology export regulations, including the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) you must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.
