The Senior Accountant-Payables will manage the monthly remittance to SpotHero’s operator partners and manage monthly payments upwards of $25 million and maintain all supporting schedules, ensuring that proper controls have been followed and tie outs have been completed. You will also work closely with our Revenue Team to provide excellent support to our supply vendors, ensure timely and accurate onboarding and offboarding of operators, and safeguard sensitive data such as banking and tax information. You’ll also record journal entries related to operator remittance, while maintaining supporting balance sheet schedules. 

The ideal candidate is a strong operational leader with excellent communication skills. You enjoy working cross-functionally and operating with a high-level of autonomy in a fast-paced environment. This person enjoys process improvement and establishing best practices in a growing organization.

What you will do:

• Manage the accounting side of supply vendor relationships including onboarding of new suppliers, maintaining correct payment data, and collecting W-9s
• Lead operator remit process for transactions and manage all ACH, wire, and check payments
• Investigate and resolve problems associated with the processing of payments and reporting
• Calculate monthly and quarterly rebates for various operators
• Manage compliance with 1099-K filing process for approximately 5,000 vendors annually
• Collaborate with Revenue Team to provide excellent service to our supply vendors
• Work closely with Revenue Team to improve and/or automate key processes
• Support the annual auditing process with external auditors and internal staff

What you have: 

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
• 5+ years progressive accounting experience 
• Strong customer service and/or vendor management experience
• Knowledge of GAAP
