Job Description:
- Work as part of the team developing applications and services using Agile development methods;
- Assist with analysis and estimation of client requirements;
- Contribute to team and organizational improvements in process and infrastructure;
- Writing testable, reusable and efficient code;
- Ensure that the appropriate design, patterns and practices are being implemented;
- Collaborating with front-end developers;
- Working with databases, external network services, and message queueing (pub/sub) systems;
- Write understandable technical documentation;
- Have regular and up-to-date reporting to team lead, service delivery manager, and/or client;
- Mentor less experienced developers and interns;
- Assist recruitment team in performing technical interviews.
Requirements:
- 2+ years of hands-on software engineering experience in a technically challenging environment;
- Excellent knowledge of Python;
- Strong understanding of non-blocking I/O;
- Strong understanding of HTML5, CSS3;
- Strong knowledge of MVC and server side templating (Jinja);
- Strong understanding of DNS, HTTP, REST, HTTPS, WebSockets, OpenAPI;
- Experience with Django, Flask or FastAPI frameworks
- Strong understanding of what it takes to deploy and run application in production;
- Experience with Relational and NoSQL databases - db design, libraries and best practices;
- Experience with ORMs and DB migrations (SQLAlchemy or DjangoORM);
- Experience with cloud providers and cloud services;
- Experience with PIP and dependency management;
- Experience with setting up Python development environments;
- Experience with Git and branching models;
- Ability to appropriately recognize and address web security requirements;
- Good analytical and problem-solving aptitude;
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science is a big plus.
