About the Role

The Athletic is looking for a passionate, highly-organized individual to join our team as a Marketing Coordinator. In this position, you will play a pivotal role in leading our cross-functional campaign efforts to drive audience growth, subscriptions, and engagement. This position requires exceptional attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and a strong project management background. This role reports to the Senior Product Marketing Manager and will be based in our Los Angeles office.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the end-to-end process of marketing campaign planning and execution
  • Build deep familiarity with the sports calendar and coordinate marketing efforts to drive subscriber growth and engagement
  • Aid in the development of campaign playbooks 
  • Serve as a liaison between marketing, design, and editorial teams
  • Provide analysis, insights, and reporting on marketing campaign performance
  • Maintain dashboards and campaign documentation
  • Identify processes to ensure efficient & productive cross-team collaboration for content development initiatives
  • Requirements

  • 1-3 years experience in marketing, project management, or similar
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams to execute key initiatives
  • Superior project management skills; results-focused with incredible attention to detail 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Exceptional analytical skills; ability to generate insights from data
  • Drive to make an impact and willingness to be flexible at a fast-growing, nimble start-up
