We are looking for a creative, dynamic and experienced Advertising Sales professional with great contacts across clients and major agency groups in your assigned territory. The Regional Sales Rep is responsible for driving revenue by working collaboratively with the Global Sales Team to ensure that sales targets are achieved. 

The position will report to the VP Sales and involve all aspects of media sales and managing the process between the client and the London and New York based project teams. 

Proven digital, content and branded video sales experience is a big advantage as is a thorough understanding of social distribution. Equally important is enthusiasm, a positive attitude and the capability to adapt to a frequently evolving start-up environment. This is a great opportunity to take on big clients and grow a prosperous patch from scratch in a rapidly growing start up.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Identify potential new clients through focused research, existing relationships and cold calling across Culture Trips’ advertising solutions in Chicago
  • Generate awareness and excitement for The Culture Trip as an advertising property in your allocated geographical patch
  • Cultivate relationships with clients and agency contacts to gain deep insight into their business and marketing objectives to share with VP Sales based in London
  • Develop, execute and manage strategic sales opportunities in your region utilising a defined sales process
  • Build a robust strategy for your patch and provide accurate forecasting and revenue reporting
  • Deliver significant revenue growth in line with the rapid expansion of the business
  • DESIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

  • 10+ years experience in digital advertising sales, with a proven digital content / branded content background
  • Experience in influencing, managing and selling in large scale proposals to senior agency contacts and stakeholders both proactively and reactively
  • In order to be successful in this aspect of their role, the Sales rep must ensure that they achieve and maintain a high level of knowledge of travel endemic advertisers
  • Comprehension of global deals is critical
  • Fantastic ad agency and client relationships
  • Strong track record of performance
  • Self starter, intuitive, strategic thinker, persistent, and highly motivated
  • Excellent knowledge of the digital landscape
  • Passion for content marketing and social distribution
  • Ability to work within a cross-functional team across international markets
  • Intelligent, articulate and numerate
  • Candidate based in Chicago

  • Excellent working knowledge of Salesforce
