Twilio is growing rapidly and seeking a Lead/Staff Data Scientist to design and build innovative and intelligent products to solve problems in fraud and identity for Twilio’s customers. The person in this role will be critical in shaping Twilio’s data product strategy and thereby enable our most valued customers to have trusted interactions with their end-users by providing risk intelligence. Who?

Twilio is looking for an exceptional individual who lives Twilio Magic and has a demonstrated track record in conceiving and delivering solutions at company-wide scale. 

• 7+ years of professional experience in analytics and data science or similar fields, in a fast paced industry 
• Ability to think strategically and initiate, refine and complete projects proactively with minimal guidance and to supervise junior BI analysts with their projects.
• Expert level knowledge in SQL and relational and multidimensional database schemas and designs.
• Strong in python (e.g. pandas, numpy, scikit-learn) or R for data manipulation and analysis.
• Strong in advanced analytics and machine learning, such as predictive analytics, regression, hypothesis testing, causal analysis.
• Experience in BI tool architectures, functions, and features.
• Experience with compliance, audit, user access control process and data governance.
• Demonstrated leadership and self-direction. Willingness to both teach others and learn new techniques.
• Experience project management and Agile delivery methods.
