The Who, What, Why and Where

Who?

As the leader of technical enablement at Twilio, you will work cross-functionally to ensure best-in-class technical enablement of our sales organization.  You will ensure that our field organization has the knowledge and skills to deliver exceptional service to our customers through effective pre-sales, and post-sales service.  Reporting to our VP of Global Enablement, you will be responsible for partnering with our global head of Solutions Engineering to design, develop, and deliver effective learning solutions that empower our solutions engineers, our account executives, and other technical teams.  

What you get to do in this role:

  • You’ll build strategic partnerships with engineering, technical leaders and other enablement teams to create and deliver a training strategy that will fuel our rapid growth.

  • Create impactful training materials for in-person & virtual delivery as well as self-service

  • Create and package high-value, easy-to-use playbooks such as ‘How to be an SE @Twilio’, ‘How to run an onsite hackathon’, ‘How to Demo Twilio Solutions’, ‘How to Partner with your AE in a deal’

  • Deliver monthly Solutions Engineering bootcamp, training sessions, webinars, e-learnings, workshops.

  • Defining milestones and assessment checkpoints throughout 90-day SE onboarding journey

  • Understand regional needs and customizing international support

  • Partner closely with the product teams and product marketing teams to lead the internal enablement efforts of technical product launches.

  • Collect feedback from stakeholders and continuously work to improve quality of content, format, and delivery worldwide.

What?

In order to be successful in this role, we need someone who has:

  • 10+ years technical sales, sales engineering, solutions marketing, or technical training 

  • Experience working in a fast-growing enterprise company, and the confidence & executive presence to get things done when a playbook doesn’t exist. 

  • Direct experience in technical training, new hire mentoring, and instructional design, including content development and delivery tools 

  • Developed a learning strategy and roadmap for a similar team and delivered demonstrable value to the business.

  • Developed and delivered technical training from scratch with an ability to visually translate technology features and concepts into clear benefits

  • B.S. Computer Science or equivalent work experience
