Twilio is growing rapidly and seeking an International Income Tax Manager to be a key contributor in the evaluation, execution, and minimization of income and VAT tax risk for Twilio globally.

Who?

Twilio is looking for a key contributor who lives the Twilio Magic with a demonstrated track record in tax issues and compliance. We seek someone with:

  • 7+ years of international income tax and VAT tax experience in the regions of EMEA, APAC and LATAM
  • Ability to collaborate with the Accounting Teams located in the US & Dublin and the tax team located in the US
  • Ability and willingness to roll up your sleeves, take responsibility and manage project with the ability to manage tax matters for multiple international entities, currently 16 foreign subsidiaries
  • Strong accounting, Excel and Access skills
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience with emphasis on accounting
  • Experience with VAT compliance, reconciliations and VAT tax automation systems such as Avalara, Vertex, OneSource, etc. 

What?

As an International Income Tax Manager, you will Live the Twilio Magic values:

  • WRITE IT DOWN: Prepare non-US income tax provisions annually and oversee non-US corporate income tax compliance and Review and oversee the filing of corporate national and local income tax returns prepared by our outside tax advisors
  • DRAW THE OWL: Identify countries imposing a Digital Services Tax and a Diverted Profits Tax and comply with these taxes with assistance of US tax team. Examine and document non-US income tax laws regarding net operating losses and other relevant matters and monitor developments in non-US income tax laws
  • BE AN OWNER:Direct payment of tax installments. Ensure proper tax accounting for post-acquisition operations and differences between local books and US GAAP books, Prepare income tax account roll forwards, and assist with income tax audits.
  • NO SHENANIGANS: Ensure the timely filing of the VAT tax returns for the foreign subsidiaries and take ownership of the compliance filing process, Reconciliation of the monthly VAT tax liabilities and ensure VAT tax compliance payments are made in a timely manner. Report to the Director of International Tax and the Director of Indirect Taxation
