Twilio is growing rapidly and seeking a Order to Cash Manager who has a demonstrated track record of managing the entire process from contract signature to collections. This individual must be comfortable in a fast paced, high growth environment and ensure a timely and scalable month-end close while collaborating with multiple internal functions such as Sales, Biztech, Deal Desk, among others. We are looking for an individual with a passion and proven track record in order management and billing operations to join a collaborative team-based working environment. This role will report to a Revenue Accounting Senior Manager. 

Responsibilities will include:

  • Manage and scale global order to cash operations, including order management, billing, and collections
    • Order management: Ensure customer contracts have been properly reviewed and processed to enable provisioning and billing in a timely manner
    • Billing: Ensure prompt and accurate issuance of subscription and usage invoices in accordance with contract terms. Support the implementation of a new billing system. Review reconciliations of billing information across systems and collaborate cross-functionally to resolve variances
    • Collections: Manage streamlined collections and escalation processes to achieve timely receipt of customer funds and identification of at-risk receivables, and manage the cash receipt and application processes to ensure prompt and accurate deposit of all funds and application to customer accounts
  • Directly manage, coach, and develop a global team
  • Drive continuous improvement in system usage/capabilities and processes for order-to-cash, with a special focus on increasing automation
  • Support the implementation of internal controls through contributing to the design and managing successful execution against internal controls across order-to-cash processes 
  • Develop and monitor key operational metrics through the order-to-cash operations and synthesize such metrics into meaningful reports and recommendations to relevant stakeholders
  • Manage and perform duties for monthly accounting close activities for month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close process, including the review of journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations
  • Coordinate with Tax team to maintain awareness of and compliance with assessment, collection, and remittance of sales taxes
  • Support quarterly and annual inquiries, requests, and activities originating from our external auditors and tax consultants
  • Drive best practices and develop, execute, and enforce order-to-cash policies and procedures
  • Execute ad-hoc projects in order-to-cash operations, as needed

Who?

Twilio is looking for an individual who lives the Twilio Magic and also has:

  • A minimum of five years of relevant order-to-cash experience
  • Strong accounting knowledge in billing and accounts receivable
  • Experience with NetSuite, Salesforce, Oracle, Stripe and/or similar systems
  • Advanced computer skills especially in Microsoft Excel
  • Experience with managing a multi-regional team
  • Experience with high growth technology companies, preferably in SaaS
  • An ability to identify, analyze, and resolve issues independently
  • A collaborative working style, experience working across the company with teams of varied size to achieve common goals
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including excellent written, oral, and presentation skills, and ability to work well under pressure and interact at all levels
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of SOX controls

In accordance with applicable law, the following represents Twilio's reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation for this role if hired in Colorado. Please note that this information is provided for those hired in Colorado only, and this role is open to candidates outside of Colorado as well. 

Salary:

Denver/Boulder Metro:

Tier 4 base salary range: $82,496.00 - $113,432.00

Rest of Colorado:

Tier 5 base salary range: $72,184.00 - $99,253.00

Non Sales: Additionally, this role is eligible to participate in Twilio's equity plan.
