Twilio is growing rapidly and seeking a Senior Accountant who will be responsible for all day-to-day, monthly and quarterly international accounting activities of Twilio’s LATAM entities. This person will work closely with the accounting manager and outsourced providers to ensure that trial balances of these locations are accurately recorded in the ERP and local audits are performed timely. 

Who? 

Twilio is looking for a leader who lives the Twilio Magic and has a demonstrated track record of leading an accounting function. They also have: 

• 6+ years related experience in progressive international accounting roles. 
• Ability to think critically and recognize discrepancies and anomalies through analysis. 
• Ability to identify opportunities for process improvement and drive efficiency. 
• Ability to prioritize and work proactively and independently in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. 
• General accounting (BR GAAP and US GAAP) and finance skills. Knowledge of Brazilian or regional taxes (indirect and direct) also desirable
• Must speak Portugeese and English fluently, Spanish is a plus. 
• Team player with strong communication, customer service, organizational and interpersonal skills. 
• Experience with NetSuite a plus. 
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Economics or Accounting. 
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA/Chartered Accountants preferred) is a plus. 

What?

• WRITE IT DOWN: Provide analytical review of the LATAM accounting operations. 
• DRAW THE OWL: Work closely with the accounting manager to ensure trial balance is booked in the accounting system correctly and on time.
• BE AN OWNER & BE BOLD: Prepare monthly reconciliations for all accounts for all LATAM subs including payroll. 
• EMPOWER OTHERS: Work closely with corporate accounting, consolidation, in addressing day-to-day business activities and ensure that monthly results are reported in a timely manner. Also, Collaborate with Company's external auditors for statutory and tax reporting matters 
• NO SHENANIGANS: Work closely with accounting manager to ensure that LATAM subsidiaries are in compliance with statutory reporting and tax filing in its respective jurisdiction.
