Twilio is seeking a senior IT Internal Auditor, to join our Internal Audit (IA) organization in Denver as we scale for current and future growth and carry out the overall Internal Audit mission. Who?

Twilio’s Internal Audit team is a small, well-rounded group, who work closely with each other and leaders across the various groups within the company. You will be a critical part of the IA and will be successful if you have the following: 

  • Understanding of risk and internal control concepts, risk assessment, auditing standards, COSO, COBIT and experience in applying them to plan, perform, manage and report on the evaluation of various business processes/areas/functions and hold professional certification (CISA, CIA, etc.)
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, to effectively present to peers and management
  • 3-6+ years of experience (Big 4 experience is a plus) and strong understanding and experience with SOX requirements, IT general controls, IT application controls, SOC audits and other IT related audits
  • Ability to evaluate the severity of IT control deficiencies and performing impact assessment
  • Ability to efficiently and effectively prioritize and perform multiple projects and working with varying team members, as well as work independently with limited required direction
  • Manage and perform other internal control related audits such as Sarbanes-Oxley, Ethics & Compliance, SOC II, system security, contingency plans, etc.
  • Exhibit the leadership skills needed to sell ideas and obtain management buy-in for constructive change
  • Demonstrated data analytics experience with software and tools (ACL, IDEA, Tableau)
  • Ability to take charge, has confidence to interact with all levels, can set objectives, will drive results and is a team player, excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work with teams cross-functionally

What?

The Senior IT Internal Auditor is responsible for leading and performing individual internal audit projects, as part of the internal audit plan. You will:

  • Participate in internal audit and SOX risk assessment, planning and audit scope development
  • Provide information technology, policy, and compliance audit support to the Internal Audit Department through information sharing and training
  • Assist in developing internal audit scope, performing internal audit procedures, and preparing internal audit reports reflecting the results of the work performed
  • Manage and perform internal control related IT internal audits and SOX
  • Develop practical, innovative and feasible recommendations to remediate internal audit and SOX findings
  • Assist Internal Audit management with periodic reporting to the Audit Committee, and championing internal control and corporate governance concepts throughout the business
  • Guide and review the work performed by other internal audit personnel, including resources from the co-sourcing firm
  • Complete certain external audit assistance assignments of internal control and SOX testing accurately, completely and in a timely manner
  • Prepare working papers to document your testing of key internal controls in accordance with departmental and professional internal audit standards
