Twilio is seeking a software engineer on the Voice services team. You will join a cross functional team and collaborate with Product Manager, Architects, and a talented group of engineers to build new voice features which add value to Twilio customers. This engineer will own, operate, and maintain the teams’ services in a highly scalable distributed production environment.

Who?

Twilio is looking for an engineer who lives Twilio Magic and has a demonstrated track record of production level software development. They also have:

• 5+ years of software development experience with cloud application development
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related industry experience
• Successful track record of delivering and maintaining reliable, scalable, traceable and performant distributed systems to customers in a production cloud environment
• Extensive experience with building and using REST APIs
• Experience with:
• Java (or any modern OO language) and concurrent programming
• Experience with distributed systems
• Agile development environment and is comfortable decomposing complex problem statements
• Nice to haves:
• Relational Databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL or equivalent)
• Production experience using Amazon Web Services
• Experience with instrumentation services in a scalable environment
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills - You are confident in writing down and presenting your designs and decisions throughout the development lifecycle. You are also comfortable providing and receiving feedback in an Agile environment

In accordance with applicable law, the following represents Twilio's reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation for this role if hired in Colorado. Please note that this information is provided for those hired in Colorado only, and this role is open to candidates outside of Colorado as well. 

Salary:

Denver/Boulder Metro:

Salary Range: $109,824 - $151,008

Rest of Colorado:

Salary Range: $96,096 - $132,132

Non Sales: Additionally, this role is eligible to participate in Twilio's equity plan.
