ABOUT THE ROLE
Your role will be to lead growth experimentation at Varo. You will develop processes and frameworks to do experimentation at scale to achieve ambitious business outcomes. You’ll work with a cross-functional team of engineers, designers, and data analysts to optimize key conversion funnels across user acquisition, activation, retention, monetization, churn mitigation, and upsells. You will play a key role in helping us achieve our customer acquisition and engagement goals.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Lead and facilitate a cross-functional team to design and execute experiments that improve key funnel conversion rates, e.g. sign up, card activation, funding
  • Set the direction, objectives, and shape of the growth experimentation program at Varo
  • Develop and maintain quantitative and visual growth models
  • Own and maintain an ongoing experiments backlog, including doing rigorous prioritization based on expected value
  • Be the subject matter expert and owner for growth experimentation at Varo
  • Collaborate with team members and stakeholders in Design, Engineering, Marketing, Research, and Strategy to build bar-raising experiences
  • Roll up your sleeves to remove barriers and obstacles hindering the team's ability to ship
  • Closely monitor the impact of your efforts and adapt quickly as needed
  • Represent Varo’s Growth Team internally and externally
  • PREVIOUS EXPERIENCES THAT'LL HELP YOU BE GREAT

  • You have 6+ years of experience as a product manager at a tech company, including 4+ years within a Growth team
  • Experience with testing and launch of consumer software products and features 
  • Track record of delivering solutions to market that have driven tangible improvements to customer experience and business metrics
  • Indirectly managing or working closely with marketing, engineering, and design team members
  • Experience shipping complex products in a fast-growing company; bonus if it was in a space where you needed to collaborate with compliance
  • Strong execution capability and ability to drive work to completion
  • You love collaborating and have the ability to influence and communicate with stakeholders of all backgrounds and levels
  • An analytical mindset with the ability to analyze and manipulate data
