We are based in Galway but are working with Suppliers from all over Europe and the world. The Accounts Payable Team is looking after queries and payments for our constantly increasing portfolio of Suppliers. We are working very closely with different teams across the company.

What You’ll Do: 

  • Responsible for a Portfolio of approx. 500 suppliers (initially - with time this may increase) 
  • Establish finance relationship with new suppliers in assigned Portfolio
  • Enter correct Supplier cost data and cost status updates 
  • Preparation of daily payment runs to suppliers for wire transfer 
  • Deduction of agreed discounts, allowances, rebates 
  • Collection of missing cost invoices at month end 
  • Monthly reconciliations of supplier payments to open invoices 
  • Responsible for ensuring suppliers are paid on time and within terms adhering to EPD’s (Early Pay Discounts) 
  • Review of vendor statements and follow-up if necessary 
  • Collecting credits/credit notes due from suppliers 
  • Responding to supplier & internal tickets, emails and phone queries within an agreed SLA
  • Collaborating with cross functional teams to ensure supplier queries are resolved
  • Cooperation with Offshore teams on supplier queries 
  • Work on projects that are in line with EU Supplier AP’s goals of increased efficiency/accuracy/supplier satisfaction
  • Engage and educate suppliers on Wayfair tools and developments

What You’ll Need: 

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and German (Native or Fluent in German, C1/C2)
  • Other European language an advantage  
  • Analytical with strong problem-solving skills 
  • Proven ability to identify and implement process improvements 
  • Understanding & Experience of post-Brexit VAT rules on supply of goods 
  • Familiarity with multi-currency transactions 
  • Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy 
  • Strong organization and planning skills 
  • Motivation to develop and maintain internal and external relationships 
  • Good understanding of Excel (eg. Vlookup, Sumif, Pivot Tables) 
  • SQL/GBQ knowledge preferred
