Wayfair seeks a self-starting, impact-oriented Analyst to join the Multibox Optimization team to support upcoming and ongoing initiatives driving the handling of multi-box products within Wayfair’s systems to optimize the customer experience, supplier experience, and operational efficiencies. Through analysis of metrics, feedback, and observations, we identify deficiencies impacting how multi-box products flow through the Wayfair Supply chain, with the goal of driving parity between the handling of multi-box SKUs and single box items, despite the added complexity of multiple item shipments.

The ideal candidate will have a bias for action coupled with intellectual curiosity and analytical rigor to develop insights, work cross-functionally with a variety of internal partners, support short and long term initiatives to enable step change improvements, and solidify Wayfair’s position as a best-in-class e-commerce platform for suppliers and customers.

 

What you’ll do:

  • Analyze bad data states within the product catalog to root cause the source, make recommendations of how to prevent those with technology or process improvements, and partner with appropriate teams to drive technology improvements
  • Independently investigate reports of problems with how multi-box items are functioning within the Wayfair system and offer prioritized sets of solutions to solve those
  • Embed in cross functional teams to act as multi-box SME promoting collaboration and productive partnerships (provide data, input on nuances and use cases, support investigation and identification of solutions) 
  • Lead tactical steps to support roll out of solutions as needed (coordinate internally, drive supplier outreaches, QA and monitor solutions post release)
  • Use available metrics and dashboard to perform gap analysis and deep dives to inform ROI-based decision making
  • Identify additional reporting needs and partner cross functionally to implement those
  • Partner with the team to ensure continuity of processes - showing flexibility in getting your hands dirty to help with data clean up, conversion of supplier product set up based on strategic prioritization of catalog transformation

What you’ll need:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
  • Curious, possessing a natural desire to keep tugging on a problem and discover insights beyond surface level
  • Passionate about solving complex business problems
  • Highly analytical, creative, and innovative approach to solving problems
  • Possess an affinity for data, and resourcefulness in obtaining data when clean and or complete information is not available
  • Ability to navigate ambiguous problems without a defined solution
  • Experience with SQL, Google Cloud Platform, or other relational database technologies
