Wayfair is looking for an experienced Analytics Manager to drive insights about levers for speed & reliability within the Transportation and Delivery network, and translate them into streamlined reporting for stakeholders across the supply chain organization. Our mission is to make data visible and  actionable across the organization and set up proactive analytics informing business about opportunities to improve speed, customer reliability, customer experience, reduce incidence rate and run operations with more visibility into the process chains.

Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Work backward from customers’ inquiries to define data and metrics requirements and product vision for multiple analytic projects
    • Develop executive level, end-to-end transportation and delivery network reporting
    • Link executive reporting with various operator-level daily and real-time views
    • Scope and develop deep dive toolset enabling root cause analysis
  • Perform advanced analytics focused on addressing key challenges within the network
    • Cross-check internal and external information sources
    • Ensure correct process- data mapping
    • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand all events needed to run operations and measure performance across process chain
    • Identify and size questions that need to be answered to improve speed and reliability. Outline key trade-offs. 
  • Identify initiatives, projects and key stakeholders to improve performance across Transportation & Delivery organization

Required experience and skills:

  • 3+ years’ experience as a BIE, data scientist or data engineer 
  • Demonstrated strength in SQL/GBQ, data modeling, ETL development, and data warehousing 
  • Advanced skills in data visualization tools like Google Data Studio, Quicksight, Tableau or Cognos Solutions 
  • Advanced ability to draw insights from data and clearly communicate them to the stakeholders and senior management. 
  • Independently own and drive outputs, scope projects, define roadmaps and set clear delivery expectations 
  • Excellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills and an ability to effectively communicate with both business and technical teams 
  • Design and develop data infrastructure to support business growth
