Do you enjoy using big data to draw conclusions and define strategies? If yes, the International Supply Chain Analytics team at Wayfair is looking to add a manager to their team! This person will apply quantitative skills to answer high-level business and global strategy questions that support operational initiatives.

This is an exciting, fast-paced, and high-visibility initiative and we are looking for leaders who can help disrupt the status quo and redefine an industry.
What you will do:
• Partner with various business stakeholders to identify key factors and requirements for each project, and get buy-in for project methodology
• Scope high-level business problems into more specific questions which can then be answered by data-driven analysis
• Contribute to big data analysis using SQL, R, Python and other software applications
• Present data with a clear point of view so that insights can be used to help drive business strategy

Example Projects:
• Designing a global supply chain network from manufacturing source to customer which will enable comprehensive international consolidation while saving the organization in supply chain costs
• Building out a robust, thorough forecasting suite which provides origin & destination operations teams the most up-to-date expectations on where and when to anticipate our supply chain volumes
• Continually developing supply chain optimization models using innovative techniques and concepts which will identify the ideal routing while elevating, expediting and inspiring the team’s work
• Evaluating the allocation management logic which will support determining how to optimally allocate containers across service levels, transit times, carrier capacities to satisfy both customers & Wayfair

Who you are:
• 3+ years of experience in an analytical/consulting role preferably with supply chain or logistics experience
• You have a higher degree in Mathematics, Industrial Engineering, Economics, Statistics, Physics, or other concentrations with heavy quantitative focus strongly preferred
• Previous experience executing on analytical projects and presenting business cases to leadership
• Experience working within large datasets and passionate about solving complex business problems
• Possess strong written and verbal cross-functional communication skills
• Positive, people-oriented, and enthusiastic
• Technical experience using SQL, R, Python, or other languages
