What You'll Do

  • You will support the relationship with our carriers that we use to operate throughout Europe (focus on DACH region), managing speed, quality and total cost of ownership through dynamic planning and analysis
  • You will develop models that enable Wayfair’s transportation network to optimize cost, speed, and quality in the customer delivery experience
  • You will drive supply chain connections between the four walls (warehousing), and transportations teams
  • Implement and ramp-up new logistics solutions across Europe  and contribute to a global roadmap
  • Architect and manage an efficient logistics network design and transportation plan from pickup to final mile delivery carriers; including contribution to technology product development
  • You will manage, develop and further grow your team

What You'll Need

  • A Bachelor Degree and 3+ years of experience preferably (but not necessarily limited to)  online retail, supply chain and/or management consulting or; 
  • Significant experience in operational and supply chain/transportation expertise, either in industry (incl. freight carriers) or top tier consulting company, specifically forecasting and capacity planning, 
  • Track record of driving and delivering large and complex projects from inception to completion
  • Experience in developing relationships with stakeholders, working collaboratively and leveraging influence to drive multi-departmental projects and ongoing operations
  • Entrepreneurial spirit and ability to work well in a fast paced company
  • An inclination to use data to answer questions, frame conversations, and drive impact/ behavior change
  • Fluency in English
  • Established skills in SQL/ BigQuery (Google Cloud Platform) to perform in depth analysis and steer business thinking  towards achieving the most optimal outcome for structural problems 
    • Basic to Proficient knowledge ofSQL (incl. aggregate functions, joins, etc. Experience with Google BigQuery is a plus). 
    • Advanced Excel User
    • Other structured programming languages (Python, R) a plus
