Wayfair, the largest online-only retailer of home furnishings and housewares in the United States, is hiring for a Warehouse Order Processing Support Analytics Supervisor. The right candidate will have prior experience with team management,  SQL database workflows, data analysis, problem-solving and interacting with multiple software interfaces at one time. In addition, multi-task, team-building, coaching,  as well as strong written and verbal skills are a must. Other critical success factors for this role include the ability to think outside-of-the-box, maintain a positive attitude, be self-reliant, remain flexible in daily responsibilities and conduct oneself professionally at all times. 

Key Responsibilities:  

  • Creation and management of refreshable reports using SQL, VBA, Kronos & Google DataStudio for Fulfillment Center (FC) leadership, IC/QA, Quality Control (QC), Middle Mile (MM), WhOPS, Process Definition & Continuous Improvement (PDCI) and other teams
  • Development & analysis of large, often complex, data sets to support process improvements and automation projects that net significant financial and operational returns
  • Consistently deliver results that recognize business or technical implications beyond their immediate scope and demonstrate understanding of broad goals with flexibility to reprioritize and course-correct based on new information
  • Address second-order questions by thinking a step ahead and acting on questions before they manifest, anticipating roadblocks and resolving with minimal guidance
  • Perform other job-related duties and responsibilities as may be assigned from time-to-time by the Company and/or WhOPS leadership
  • Owner of their development plan end-to-end by setting tangible goals, leading some of the discussion with the manager in regular development check-ins 
  • Coaching and provide professional development to team including actionable feedback
  • Create and drive an aggressive roadmap with industry best KPI performance
  • Work with management to drive proactive improvement projects with quantified impacts
  • Strengthen the team culture by acting as an example of aptitude, effectiveness and professionalism
  • Perform other job-related duties and responsibilities as may be assigned
  • Willingness to travel required (10%-20%)

 

  Desired Skills & Experience:  

  • Bachelor's degree desired, preferably in Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Management or Statistics
  • Minimum of 2 years of leadership experience, remote management is a plus
  • Minimum of 2 years SQL experience required, to include designing SQL queries, understanding of database structures, and the relationship between SQL tables
  • Familiarity with warehouse management systems or purchase order systems
  • Intermediate understanding of Google DataStudio, Kronos, Excel Macros or VBA, and Python 
  • Ability to synthesizes information effectively, knowing the right data and information needed to answer a question; Comprehensively understands and utilizes all data available
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal including interpersonal skills
  • Independently delivers actionable recommendations and/or results when working against an initiative, laying out the most efficient approach with defined milestones/actionable pieces, and consistently supporting the team’s KPIs and OKRs
  • Reliable, consistent and self-reliant work habits are necessary 
  • Demonstrated experience taking a structured approach to problem-solving, identifying hypotheses, assumptions, risks, and recommendations

Please note, this is an office position located within a warehouse setting. Daily work may require interacting with/visiting the warehouse floor.
