The Site Asset Protection Manager will be responsible for providing leadership on all security, loss prevention, and life safety related standards, systems, processes, and best practices across the network. Reports into the Regional Asset Protection Manager and advises on any developing issues.

 

What You’ll Do 

  • Advise in the formulation of loss prevention goals and objectives, as well as security policies, programs and measurement tools to enable the highest level of security, life safety performance, and compliance.
  • Partner cross-functionally with all levels of Supply Chain Management, Legal, Safety, Talent Management, WITs and Media Relations to resolve security and/or life safety related issues.
  • Maintain effective working relationships with regulatory agencies, industry security and life safety professionals, vendors, and suppliers. 
  • Audit findings, investigations and reports of losses, violations and threats.
  • Continuously improve our business continuity plan to ensure well-organized recovery during and after a crisis.  
  • Enable execution of the crisis management plan and emergency response programs, ensuring security personnel, management, and employees are prepared to handle anticipated emergencies.
  • Ensure employees are properly trained and prepared to respond in emergency situations.
  • Prepare and submit security loss incident reports in compliance with company and insurance carrier requirements. Support any related investigations. 
  • Provide supportive feedback and coaching throughout the year to help management achieve security performance objectives.    

 

What You’ll Need

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in an area of study relevant to this position, or 5 years of experience of increasing responsibility within the security, loss prevention and/or law enforcement/intelligence field. 
  • Certification in an Asset Protection related field is a plus, but not required (e.g. Loss Prevention Professional (LPP), Certified Forensic Investigator (CFI), LPC or LPQ).  
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of security and life safety concepts, best practices, policies, programs, and procedures. Preferably in a retail distribution environment.  
  • Experienced in the investigation of internal and external crime. 
  • Sound business skills such as budgeting, strategic planning, and good decision-making ability. 
  • Proficient with physical security design, development, and implementation.  
  • Excellent analytical and organizational skills, and demonstrated experience with hypothesis-driven learning and turning data into actionable insights.
  • Superior communication skills with the ability to navigate a complex organization and generate buy-in for ideas and plans.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset, with a bias for action and ability to deal with extreme ambiguity and rapidly changing environments.
  • Strong reputation for honesty, integrity, and professionalism, including an ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Ability to travel throughout Europe. Most travel will be in the assigned region.
  • Familiarity with local laws and regulations related to criminal procedure, data privacy, and security regulations.
  • Fluency in English and German required.
