Would you like to join a highly dynamic working environment and learn from a smart, quantitative-minded team that is building the marketing platform of a new giant in eCommerce? Our Marketing team drives growth for Wayfair by advertising on every major platform, but we aren’t your standard marketers. We own the strategy, P&L, and roadmaps for our portfolio of innovative and in-house-built marketing, machine learning, and AdTech products. We leverage our custom tools to acquire high potential customers and engage them to come back again and again. We have petabytes of first and third party data at our fingertips; what makes us successful is using that data to build algorithms and automated solutions to take our “Zillions thing home” offering and personalize it to each and every customer.

As the Head of Marketing for North America Loyalty and Financing, you will develop and drive customer acquisition and retention strategies for Wayfair using existing and new loyalty and financing levers. You will collaborate with company leaders and external partners, drive strategic decisions, and impact the future direction of Wayfair. The goal of the Loyalty and Financing business is to attract new customers to Wayfair, convert those who are shopping on Wayfair, and increase the purchase frequency and lifetime spend of existing customers. Existing levers include co-brand and private label credit cards, financing, and leasing in the U.S. and Canada that have already been adopted by hundreds of thousands of Wayfair, AllModern, Joss & Main, Birch Lane, and Perigold customers.

What You'll Do

    • Lead the Marketing function for a multibillion dollar business to deliver incremental revenue and profit to Wayfair. The scope includes ownership of on-site and off-site channel marketing, major campaigns and promotions, customer benefits, marketing analytics, and brand strategy for the loyalty and financing programs in the U.S. and Canada as well as cross-marketing with financing and payments partners.
    • Build and manage a high performing direct Marketing team and through internal and external partner Marketing teams: Directly manage 2-3 Marketing team members, including recruiting and hiring, performance management, coaching, and career development; provide leadership to internal channel managers and third party marketers to drive execution
  • Establish the multi-year Marketing vision and strategy with 12-18 month objectives and goals and lead the delivery of those goals: This role requires a strategic mindset that can rally internal and external teams around a long-term vision and a clear near-term plan that advances the business toward that vision. It also needs someone who can lead the execution of the function to deliver on the vision and strategy, achieve aggressive KPI targets, and contribute sustainable profit growth to Wayfair.
  • Design and lead the investment strategy to optimally allocate existing and new marketing funding toward high ROI efforts: partner with the Data Science and Advanced Analytics teams to ensure optimal attribution and measurement and with the executing teams on implementation; strategies would include major growth drivers and an aggressive testing agenda to uncover new investment opportunities
  • Facilitate strategic partnerships with senior leaders of Wayfair teams and third parties: Collaborate effectively with N. America Loyalty and Financing General Managers, Product Managers, and Analytics, with cross-functional partner teams across Marketing and Branding, and with the third party Marketing leads.

What You'll Need

  • 10+ years’ experience in consulting, marketing, and/or corporate strategy with a heavy analytical emphasis; MBA preferred with 4+ years of post-MBA experience.
  • 3+ years’ management experience with a consistent track record of leadership and delivering exceptional results; ability to prioritize multiple concurrent workstreams and delegate effectively
  • Data-centric and strategic mindset: you monitor KPIs and perform ad hoc analysis to figure out what’s next, always keeping in mind the overarching strategy and business goals.
  • Senior presence; able to clearly and consistently work side-by-side with a broad range of senior leaders and functions to achieve objectives.
  • Persuasive communication skills with excellent negotiations and relationship- building skills.
  • Experience managing and executing large projects from start to finish including project management, data gathering, and modeling, problem-solving and communicating recommendations.
