Overview

Wayfair is looking for a senior leader to own our customer growth and brand marketing activities across all Display, Online Video and other emerging ad platforms in our European markets. You will own a multimillion dollar ad spend budget and lead a growing team of diverse professionals. 

In this role, you are ultimately responsible for the strategy and roadmap for a sizable team that drives a significant share of customer acquisitions and revenue as well as ensuring our brand is top of mind with consumers by being visible across the internet. The role’s scope is already expansive today and it will grow in the coming years as we will expand our European business across new countries, launch new business lines such as B2B, launch a European luxury brand, and embark on physical retail stores.

In this role you will have everything you need to be successful at your fingertips: We are building one of the largest in-house creative agencies in Europe. Combined with our proprietary suite of machine learning models and dedicated data science / data engineering teams we are able to realize highly personalized, engaging ad experiences. We leverage a cutting-edge tech stack that is built and maintained by our in-house MarTech teams. 

Your team will closely collaborate with these teams and leverage these capabilities and tools. You will work as a core member of our extended growth marketing global leadership group to shape our global vision going forward, define OKRs, manifest them in both your and stakeholder teams roadmaps, and then drive execution. In a given month your team might, for example, negotiate and launch new a new test campaign to evaluate a new ad platform partner, drive an end-to-end analysis of customer behavior in the higher funnel, work with our creative teams on the next iteration of native YouTube video ads and co-design next-gen view-through attribution models with our Data Science teams.

Given the nature of this role, qualified candidates must have both, strong quantitative / analytical acumen and strategic / creative thinking. This role is a high profile e-commerce opportunity for top-tier marketing professionals; or for executive level consultants, analytics professionals or product managers looking for a new challenge. What You’ll Do

  • Manage and optimize a multimillion dollar ad spend budget to deliver incremental revenue and profit to Wayfair. This includes accountability for all business outcomes.
  • Lead, develop and grow a high performing team: Directly manage the Display, Online Video and emerging ad platforms (e.g. TikTok, Snap) marketing teams; including responsibility for recruiting and hiring, performance management, coaching, and career development. You will be tasked with growing the team as we expand to new European countries and add new lines of business in our existing geographic footprint.
  • Establish the multi-year vision and strategy and lead the execution to ensure breakthrough customer, traffic and revenue growth across our entire portfolio of websites and product categories.
  • Own key relationships (including joint roadmaps and exec level negotiations) with senior leaders at Wayfair’s most important, existing strategic partners and establish new ones.
  • Own cross-functional initiatives between Creative, MarTech, Data Science, Data Engineering, Product, and more.

What You’ll Need

  • Experience commensurate with size, growth and complexity of the role and a proven track record of successfully driving significant results in a fast-paced environment
  • 8+ years experience in relevant roles, ideally with experience in marketing, e-commerce, analytics or product management; management consulting experience is a plus
  • Excellent leadership, interpersonal and team building skills including experience with managing high performing teams and creating an inclusive and supportive environment
  • Comfort with a data-driven business environment and able to pivot readily and react to real-time data
  • Ability to communicate effectively to senior and executive management; exceptionally strong written and verbal communication skills that can be tailored to internal and external parties
  • Familiarity / hands-on working experience in performance-oriented digital marketing, in particular with major display, video, social media platforms and DSPs (e.g. Google Display, YouTube, Criteo, Pinterest, TikTok, Google DV360) is a plus
