At Wayfair, our Product Management team is responsible for driving the vision and execution necessary to delight customers and deliver results. We are organized into small, fully-empowered teams that combine the speed and agility of a startup with the firepower of a $14 billion company growing at 55% a year.

Product Managers on the Search Technologies team are working to create the world’s most powerful and effective Search engine for homegoods. Our systems leverage Wayfair’s extensive customer and product data to deliver trusted and valuable search results in real time using custom machine learning models. This happens for each of the 3.5M searches a day that span a catalog of more than 20M products.

As the CEO of your product, you must have a strong bias for action, be a consummate communicator, be extremely curious, and be willing to fill gaps where necessary to get the job done. You will be asked to break down complex problems and back up your recommendations with quantitative and qualitative reasoning. You will play a central role in organizing and communicating the efforts of a cross-functional team consisting of Engineers, Product Managers, Site Merchandisers, Analysts, Data Scientists, and Designers.

What You'll Do

  • Identify, develop, and deliver results by improving Wayfair’s core Search capabilities
  • Lead a cross functional team of engineers, data scientists, and analysts to build, test, and deploy state of the art solutions using a large and growing dataset
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across Wayfair to identify opportunities and deliver meaningful outcomes through improved Search
  • Build and own an extensive product roadmap. Manage products across the full product development lifecycle
  • Be the primary product manager for one or more engineering teams
  • Set product objectives and key results.
  • Define, monitor, and communicate KPIs for your product area

What You'll Need

  • 8+ years of product experience with a history of successful delivery 
  • Preferred experience with Search Technologies (i.e. ElasticSearch or Solr), building and running highly available services at scale
  • Demonstrated ability to build, prioritize and communicate a product roadmap 
  • Direct experience working with data scientists and familiarity with machine learning and natural language processing
  • Proven ability to make data driven decisions and a familiarity with A/B testing.
  • Proven ability to manage and communicate to a diverse set of stakeholders including both technical and non-technical audiences.
