What You’ll Do

  • Operations leadership
    • leading a team of operations managers and analysts to shepherd day to day operations which includes ensuring over 95% utilization of our ocean contracts, managing allocation planning for 6-8 week window, achieving our KPIs and building a origin side market intell.
    • Manage our partners- origin agents by monitoring their performance and conduting regular business reviews like MBR, QBR etc.
    • Build strong relationships with local ocean carriers and regulatory bodies across Asia.
    • Drive process consistency across all origin teams that work with OAs - CFS and Shipper Engagement.
    • Define the future state of Origin operations by proposing and defining best ways to improve visibility and predictability of all origin operations
    • Work closely with the Boston team and identify opportunities to streamline E2E flows from order management to departure at origin.
    • Driving tech roadmap and lead tech-build collaboration with Product Management and Engineering team to enhance capability and efficiency of origin operations
    • Explore and evaluate further opportunities at origin to build tech as competitive edge for our operations
    • Building out the origin operations team to ensure adequate and appropriate positioning of staff to positions, high degree of employee engagement, a strong career path for each team member

 

 

What You’ll Need

  • Both English and Mandarin to a business level fluency
  • MBA preferred, Bachelor Degree with 5+ years post MBA operations improvement project management, and/or entrepreneurial management experience
  • Background in Freight forwarding and/Or ocena carriers is a must
  • Analytical and process improvement skills 
  • Proven track record of leadership, taking ownership, and driving results
  • Ability to develop, articulate, and execute strategy
  • Exceptional communication skills across various levels of leadership and ability to partner with all levels of operation in the field
  • Ability to inspire others to strive towards a culture of Continuous Improvement - with high energy and coaching approach
