Wayfair Fulfillment Network is a key component of the overall supply chain and keeping our promise to the customer. As a result we interact with multiple stakeholders across Wayfair who rely upon us to deliver a world-class operation. Ultimately we are all working to serve the Customer but teams will have different priorities depending upon their individual objectives. This role is critical to managing these differing objectives, the flow of information between stakeholders, and ensuring all parties have sufficient clarity to move at speed and scale.

The ideal candidate will have a clear vision on how to drive change within a global organisation. They will be able to network effectively, identify key decisions and resolve ambiguity to enable their team to work efficiently. This person will be a leader who enjoys developing their team’s capability by working shoulder-to-shoulder demonstrating and coaching best practice. This role is based in Berlin but to be effective requires regular travel within the EU and on occasion to the US.

What You'll Do

  • Own the improvement of processes within EU Warehousing to support the achievement of Global performance goals
  • Lead a team consisting of multiple disciplines, mixing office and field based, across geographies
  • Be a key member of the Global team ensuring best practice sharing and driving process alignment
  • Develop a clear vision which is aligned to the ambitious growth plans of Wayfair
  • Build and develop relationships with key stakeholders to identity and align on areas of greatest impact
  • Identify talent both internally and externally that will support the team’s vision and growth
  • Work side-by-side with your team to help solve complex business problems, coaching best practice techniques
  • Structure and solve complex business problems
  • Be a thought leader and mentor for the Operations leadership team
  • An advocate and promoter of the Wayfair culture

 


What You’ll Need

  • 10 years+ experience of leading Operational teams, either in a front-line capacity or a support function
  • Track record of building and scaling teams
  • Ability to structure complex issues quickly and efficiently
  • Be able to manage multiple stakeholders and gain alignment on a single unified view
  • Influencing and persuasion skills to deliver meaningful change
  • Experience of lean ways of working in an e-commerce, supply chain, or manufacturing environment
  • Ability to work collaboratively across functions and synthesize multiple points of view into a streamlined action plan
  • Comfortable doing the detail, such as analysing data sets or leading process improvement events
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
