The “Competitive Intelligence” team, in Boston, Massachusetts, is building the next-generation tooling for our merchants and suppliers with an emphasis on efficiency, scalability, and a best-in-class user experience.

We are looking for a passionate Associate Product Director who loves to drive their teams to identify, own, and solve complex business problems. Being at the beginning of our journey, we build a highly efficient, cross-functional, multi-disciplinary product and engineering organization to scale to the fullest of our potential.

What You’ll Do

You will be at the center of all of the activities in the Competitive Intelligence team. You’ll manage, coach, and develop a team of highly skilled product managers and empower the organization by defining the product vision, strategy, and roadmap to guide the team to work on the highest priority problems with the most significant impact for our company. By earning a broad understanding of the business domain, you will be responsible for product discovery, planning, and sequencing. Together with your peer network, you establish frequent communication to foster our transparent work style. You will have the opportunity to help build, structure, and shape the team’s future and leave your mark on Wayfair’s success story.

What You’ll Need:

  • 12+ years of experience leading product management organizations with a proven track record in delivering solutions for complex problems in multi-stakeholder setups over multiple years. 
  • Related work experiences in areas such as web scraping, indexing, pricing, and competitive analysis. 
  • Demonstrated understanding and ability to coach others on the techniques and methods of modern product discovery and product delivery.
  • Passion of enabling product teams to create impactful products and services.
  • Demonstrated skills to understand a business broadly and how to set a product vision and strategy and owning the roadmap to achieve it.
  • Ability to empower and inspire teams in ambiguous or complex problem space to identify and follow business opportunities and sequence them into actionable items.
  • Capability to partner, collaborate, and align with multiple teams of different disciplines and across various time zones.
  • Data-driven mindset to set clear goals and expectations.
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills.
  • Great attention to detail with a proven track record in taking ownership of problems independently and driving results with a healthy bias for action.
  • An inclusive, adaptable, and persuasive communication style and the ability to author well-structured, data-informed narrative and documents.
  • A deep understanding of agile methodologies, its ceremonies and when to apply.
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or computer science.

  • A mindset of continuous learning to improve constantly
  • Good knowledge of software engineering processes and related disciplines
  • Experience in tracking and business intelligence tools is a plus
