Who We Are:

We are looking for an experienced product manager to build and guide the product team that enables our suppliers to directly integrate their systems with the Wayfair platform. This work will impact tens of thousands of home goods businesses worldwide, and in turn, millions of our customers.

In this role, you’ll be responsible for discovering and defining the product vision and strategy for our external API offerings, integration capabilities, and developer portal. This is a very collaborative and cross-functional role with high visibility across the company.

You will build industry-leading integration capabilities in our (new) supplier platform that provide scalable, consistent, and quality pathways for our suppliers to manage their business as effectively as possible. Your tools will enable the continued growth and success of our supplier base and ensure better operations for our customers. Hundreds of internal and external developers will use your team’s APIs and tools to integrate ERPs, e-commerce systems, and data platforms with Wayfair. Success in this role means delivering impactful solutions that get broadly adopted.

If you are interested in leading an empowered product team and solving high-impact problems with great colleagues, come join us and help Wayfair grow our business to the next level.

What You’ll Do

  • Own product vision and strategy for 5-6 empowered product teams. Envision and guide the creation of extensible systems that enable many thousands of suppliers to do business on Wayfair.
  • Guide problem scoping and discovery, drive requirements synthesis, and facilitate prioritization and planning to ensure meaningful outcomes for your system users and our suppliers.
  • Develop a deep understanding of our suppliers, work closely with your business stakeholders to identify new opportunities for them, and drive multiple large, cross-functional initiatives.
  • Act as a manager-doer, nurture multiple senior product managers by developing their mastery and growing their autonomy while rolling up your sleeves to assist them directly where necessary.
  • Work with a high degree of independence and ownership, create strong connections with stakeholders, establish measures of success, and deliver results that enable business impact.

What You’ll Need

    • Platform or technical product management experience in an agile development environment, ideally with eCommerce, SaaS, or Enterprise applications.
    • Proven experience in managing multiple empowered product teams and creating leverage through effective coaching, empathy, expectation setting, delegation, and direct intervention.
    • Past experience operating in a senior role building platform systems or driving large cross-functional projects together with engineering teams.
    • A high degree of technical fluency, with familiarity building technical platforms operating at scale in large engineering organizations (e.g. API technologies, SDK offerings in specific languages, etc.)
    • Analytical skills with hypothesis-driven problem solving and a history of turning data into actionable insights.
    • Communication skills and demonstrated ability to form consensus and commitment in an inclusive way, influence business and engineering stakeholders, and drive teams towards clear goals.
    • Entrepreneurial mindset, with a bias for action and ability to deal with ambiguity, complexity, and fast-paced environments.
