B2B Sales Trainer

 

Sales Trainer

The Trainer will conduct and facilitate various training programs, including new hire on-boarding,  sales skills, category specific product and vertical knowledge, as well as other training dictated by business needs. They will also be responsible for communicating with sales and partner teams to identify training needs, training sales staff, and either building training materials or collaborating with content development team members as needed. This includes initial orientation/new hire training, ongoing up-skill training, and process or tool-specific training. The primary audience will be sales agents and business development reps, but may include other employees, such as managers.

What You'll Do

  • Lead live and virtual classroom training using facilitation techniques rooted in adult learning principles, oversee new employee training to ensure learning objectives are met and courses are completed and tracked for measurement
  • Facilitate upskilling training to help build existing agents sales skills, especially in focus verticals and categories
  • Develop and conduct new hire on-boarding training and other training as needed
  • Collaborate with the content team to design and develop training materials as needed 
  • Provide on-the-job feedback and skill assessments of new hires during training, nesting and after the conclusion of the on boarding experience
  • Provide weekly performance reporting of new hires during nesting to operational management team
  • Support client-specific processes and key drivers of performance
  • Partner and communicate with sales teams to ensure training consistency across sites 

What You'll Need

  • At least 3 years prior experience as a sales trainer in a live and/or virtual classroom setting or a degree in a learning & development field
  • Sales experience preferred 
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred 
  • Demonstrated presentation and facilitation skills before large groups, preferably in a live and/or virtual classroom, WebEx setting
  • Demonstrated leadership experience preferred
  • Proficient in G-Suite, Microsoft Office, Articulate- RISE, ADDIE model
  • Demonstrated oral and written communication skill
  • Critical thinking and creative problem-solving skills; must be flexible and able to adjust to frequent changes in training priorities and schedules to accommodate business.
  • Proven ability to work well as a team player as well as work independently with limited supervision.
  • Demonstrates a high degree of professionalism.
  • Good organizational skills to meet tight deadlines.
