Benefits Manager Europe and Asia - German Speaking

Wayfair’s EU Talent Management team works with our employees on company efforts to recruit, engage, and retain the best talent. This includes on-boarding of new hires, benefits management and research on trends, working with employees on Employee Relations issues, helping managers develop their teams and reviewing data to position Wayfair as the Best Place to Work. As a Benefits Manager, you will provide support for Wayfair’s global benefits, perks, and wellness programs.

What You’ll Do

  • Make recommendations of benefits, perks, and wellness programs that align with the company’s strategic plan, our People Principles, as well as Wayfair Global Benefit’s philosophy 
  • Support management’s decision making by analyzing benefit options and balancing the needs of our employees and their families while ensuring cost containment. 
  • Conduct research on employee satisfaction (e.g. using surveys and quantitative data) to identify trends and implement new practices to engage and motivate employees
  • Evaluate and report on the effectiveness of employee benefit programs by developing recordkeeping systems and tracking engagement 
  • Audit expenses related to benefits and perks in collaboration with the Finance department 
  • Establish a workplace culture that supports every facet of health: mental, emotional, physical, and social by organizing monthly seminars and workshops, also in collaboration with other groups such as ERGs and the DEI team
  • Responsible for Health Management, including supporting occupational health topics (e.g. leaves, return from leaves, health promotion & prevention), the implementation of health courses and employee training, as well as ensure health-promoting environmental conditions
  • Work with employees to understand their needs and resolve questions and problems as they relate to benefits and perks
  • Expedite delivery of benefits by establishing and maintaining excellent working relationships with benefit providers and vendors, as well as ensuring services are supplied according to agreement
  • Manage Benefits staff by recruiting, selecting, and training employees.
  • Maintain professional knowledge by attending workshops, reviewing professional publications, and establishing professional networks
  • Conduct cost analyses and prepare to present to management before selecting benefits and perks for employees
  • Support an inclusive and diverse workplace offering transparent and equitable employee experiences across our corporate (Europe and Asia), and field locations on a global scale. 

Who You’ll Need

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and German 
  • Previous experience as a Benefits / Compensation Manager or in a similar role
  • Stakeholder management experience including communicating with senior leadership, as well as external partners and vendors, and ability to establish professional networks effectively
  • Have experience with organising events and a strong interest in building community 
  • Familiarity with DE, UK, IE employment law would be an asset 
  • Ideally BSc in Human Resources Management, Organizational Psychology, or relevant field
