Category Associate

Wayfair is looking for a talented Category Associate to help us grow Wayfair's Children's furniture business. In this role, you will work with external partners and internal cross-functional teams to advance the category’s business agenda. You will have true ownership over a large group of suppliers and a product area which will have a material impact to the business and to customers. You will develop and drive category strategy while negotiating favorable business terms on costs of goods sold, develop and manage supplier relationships, drive results and own the business/financial analytics for your suppliers.

 

What You'll Do

  • Develop and manage growth strategy for Children's furniture
  • Supplier relationship management: building growth plans with suppliers by negotiating commercial and operational programs to best serve our mutual customers
  • Analysis of top and bottom line performance to identify new growth opportunities
  • Identify merchandising opportunities to enhance the customers' experience
  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners to enable growth plans (e.g. Operations, Inventory Planning, Merchandising, & Promotions)

 

What You'll Need

  • English language fluency required, fluency in German is a plus
  • Degree qualified to a Bachelor degree level
  • Experience in negotiating terms with business partners
  • Experience in data analysis, including translating data into growth plans
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • A strong desire to win and drive independent collaboration with relative cross-functional teams
