Who We Are:

The Polish Country Management Team drives a significant and growing share of Wayfair’s European business (Poland is 2nd in global furniture exports). Our mission is to marry Polish industry competence with Wayfair’s extensive customer reach, tech solutions and logistics network. As a Country Manager, you will own a portfolio of strategic supplier partners and will be responsible for solving complex business problems across merchandising, operations, marketing, and pricing to achieve hyper growth. You set the strategy for your portfolio based on analytical insights, prioritise key initiatives and execute with a high level of ownership and self-sufficiency. Strong communication is critical for your success given cross functional alignment and project management is key to drive effective execution. You will manage supplier relationships, partnering to build sustainable e-commerce strategies with industry leading players and supporting them in their execution. Strong negotiation skills are a must.

Due to the strategic importance of this role, we are looking for an experienced, entrepreneurial, data driven candidate who can work well cross functionally, build and articulate the strategic vision, and develop meaningful relationships with Wayfair’s supplier base.

What You'll Do:

  • Co-develop and manage strategy for the Polish sourcing market
  • Analyse commercial and operational performance to strategize profit growth opportunities
  • Manage a portfolio of key suppliers, building and maintaining long term, strategic relationships
  • Execute high volume of negotiations with potential and existing suppliers including product selection, pricing and operations
  • Conduct regular meetings and calls with suppliers to review the business and advance Wayfair business goals
  • Travel to trade shows with cross functions and senior leadership (2-4 trips per year)
  • Collaborate on initiatives across departments to drive portfolio and team goals (Inventory Planning, Advertising, Merchandising, Operations, PR, Customer Service, Business Intelligence)

What You'll Need:

  • Fluency in both Polish and English
  • A successful track record in business development, category management, consulting or similar field
  • Creative and innovative problem-solving skills - dissect and determine root cause of problems and implement solutions
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • A strong desire to win and drive independent collaboration with cross-functional teams/individuals
  • Hungry to produce and execute against an array of initiatives
  • Initial People management experience is a plus
  • Bachelor degree or higher
