The Corporate Safety Manager will be responsible for the implementation and adherence of all related aspects of our Injury and Illness Prevention Plan (Occupational Safety/Health Program) for all corporate sites. What You Will Do

  • Analyze incident information, identify trends and key problem areas, and communicate to site leadership and Corporate & SSC Sr. Safety Manager.
  • Anticipate, identify, and evaluate hazardous conditions and practices and respond and aid in all emergency situations.
  • Conduct detailed workplace safety analysis and demonstrate the ability to manage work safely, identify unsafe conditions and unsafe acts, propose solutions, and prevent worker injuries.
  • Partner with Management, as well as the onboarding team, to ensure all new hires receive safety orientation, and manage annual training requirements for existing employees.
  • Responsible for the onboarding and development of any direct reports.
  • Identify innovative ways to grow and maintain a strong safety culture.
  • Review employee safety training programs to determine their adequacy.
  • Ensure compliance with state & federal law as it applies to sites as described in 29 CFR.
  • Ensure all required safety records, such as the OSHA 300/30A logs are accurately maintained in accordance with the law.
  • Implement an Office Ergonomic Program, including but not limited to risk assessment, standard office equipment, stretching, early reporting, etc.
  • Covid-19 Testing Program Management:
    • Responsible for end-to-end management and oversight of onsite testing and contact tracing in Boston offices (5,000+ employees across Boylston and Copley offices).
    • Oversight of inventory management - ensuring correct volume of testing supplies based on projected testing demand in adherence with contractual agreements.
    • Manage a team of testing administrators responsible for on-site testing; including registration of participants, administration of pool testing and follow up individual testing as needed.
    • Oversee execution of the contact tracing process including but not limited to outreach to positive pool participants, individual positive cases and potential exposures to ensure adherence to SLAs and on-site health and safety protocols are upheld.
    • Manage reporting (participation, compliance, positivity rates) across corporate sites.
    • Serve as the main POC and SME as new sites launch or evolve on-site testing.
    • Serve as POC for testing vendor, Color - update workflows, system administration or processes as needed based on feedback and business need.
    • Evolve testing program requirements, resources and guidelines based on evolving regulations.
  • Other related duties as assigned or required.

What You’ll Need

  • Demonstrated knowledge of legal and regulatory requirements that govern worker health and safety; physical assessment and ergonomic skills; case management skills.
  • Knowledge of local, state and federal fire and safety regulations.
  • Demonstrated ability to facilitate training and work in a team environment and achieve results.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects, set priorities, strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Work hours will be flexible to support multiple buildings with multiple shifts with dynamic changing business needs.
  • Strong analytical skills; excellent verbal and written communication skills; proven ability to work and communicate with all levels of the organization; experience in a multi-shift operation a plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Safety or related field, preferred.
  • 4+ years of experience in Occupational Health and Safety or related field within a distribution or manufacturing environment, preferred.
