Project Manager (m/f/x), Creative Operations, Europe

The Creative Operations Team Europe at Wayfair is looking for an experienced Project Manager to join our in-house creative team in Berlin. 

In this role, you will own the planning, execution and delivery of all creative campaign promotion activities for Wayfair Europe. Responsible for managing the workflows and timelines for the creative team and coordinating with creative, the campaign manager and marketing stakeholders, you strive to balance operational efficiency with excellent quality of our output. Familiar with agile principles, you will frequently review and seek to optimize our processes and our toolset in order to always ensure our work is delivered on brief, on time and in line with business goals and priorities. We are looking for someone who pays attention to detail while overseeing multiple projects at once, and being quick and smart to adapt to different challenges that come your way daily. Someone who can work effectively and passionately both independently and with a team.

Having 4+ years of experience from working in agencies or marketing organisations, you are confident to manage large and complex digital projects in a fast-paced and growth-driven business environment. 

What You Will Do

  • Together with your manager, you work closely with business teams and stakeholders to ensure briefings, goals and expectations for all marketing promotion work are concise, complete and follow our strategic roadmap
  • Challenge input briefs, identify gaps or inconsistencies in order to facilitate an efficient creative kick off and execution 
  • Together with your manager, oversee and implement the yearly promotion communications calendar, being able to forecast and define capacity requirements and milestones 
  • Plan, support and oversee the delivery of creative work in Sprints, applying agile SCRUM methodologies, ceremonies and tools
  • Support the creative team by assisting in all tasks of the pre- and post-production process by owning the communication of status updates to project leads and stakeholders
  • Run retrospectives for projects across functions to derive learnings and actions to continuous improvement
  • Analyse operational success metrics across projects to get insights for further opportunities to increase efficiency and excellence in creative operations
  • Onboard, oversee and manage freelancers, as required, to ensure a seamless collaboration with the entire team
  • Keep track of and be thorough and mindful of budget, cost and purchase management

 

What You'll Need

  • Exceptional project management capabilities, comfortably using common project management tools (like Jira) and applying agile methodologies (SCRUM, Kanban, Retros)
  • Understanding of a multi-disciplined creative process and the different disciplines involved
  • Ability to take a specified problem and define solutions and a plan to propose and drive execution upon decision
  • Ability to unpack and simplify complex projects or given problems
  • Proficiency to prioritize and manage multiple projects or tasks, with high adaptability to change if required
  • Experience in short and long-term resource planning 
  • Excellent skills in communicating with and managing stakeholders, with the ability to manage competing priorities
  • Critical thinking and an analytical approach to solve problems
  • Use good judgment and succinct communication to be effective in driving results
  • Proactivity and a positive, people-oriented, energetic attitude
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills. English is a must, German or another language is a plus.
  • Comfort to work within a dynamic, fast-paced environment
  • Experience in using and interpreting data for decision making and evaluation of results
  • 4+ years of experience in successfully managing digital projects from start to finish
  • Work experience in e-commerce or agency is desired
