Charged with recovering incident costs from suppliers while improving the customer experience, the Supplier Credit Recovery team is looking for a dynamic Assistant Manager to oversee a team of Credit Recovery Analysts. As an Assistant Manager you will be tasked with leading day to day operations in addition to project management and process improvement. The pursuit of Wayfair's supplier credits is a multi-dimensional and nuanced process that requires a willingness to dig deeply into existing processes as well as create and refine new ones. This is a great opportunity to get under the hood of some new and important tools, strengthen and clarify our existing vendor relationships, and help define the goals of a growing group, all while having a real operational impact.

What You'll Do

  • Day to day leadership of our Credit Recovery Team
  • Oversight of vendor credit approvals and denials in escalated situations
  • Clarify the credit process with suppliers to maximize cost recovery and minimize customer impact
  • Work cross functionally with Finance, Category Management, and Account Ops to improve vendor relationships
  • Identify performance trends/ opportunities and actively pursue dynamic solutions with help from management
  • Identify issues with existing tools and processes and offer suggestions for improvement
  • Ensuring the team hits all goals and other KPIs
  • Presenting to senior leaders on team progress and roadmap

What You'll Need

  • 4-year college degree or equivalent experience
  • Management experience preferred 
  • Negotiation and communication skills a must
  • Strong analytical and interpersonal skills
  • Self-reliant and able to motivate others
  • Technology Savvy comfortable with learning new tools and software
  • Retail, finance, and/or Operations (Supply Chain) experience a plus
  • Entrepreneurial spirit
  • Problem-solving mindset
  • Excel proficiency a plus
  • Some SQL knowledge preferred
