As the Product Director of our International team, you’ll lead a group of product managers focused on…

  1. Developing capabilities that make it easy for Wayfair to scalably launch new markets
  2. Expanding our suite of retail brands to new countries and languages
  3. Optimizing the end-to-end customer-facing web and App experiences for our rapidly growing multi-billion dollar international markets 

Within just a few years, this leader will look back with pride at having successfully expanded Wayfair to five new countries and two new languages while developing a playbook that makes it easier to unlock further international expansion. For the first time, they will have brought two of our other retail brands to non-U.S. markets while optimizing our existing international experiences to establish Wayfair as the market leader.

You’ll work closely with our executive leadership team as the primary voice of our international customers, influencing our broader company strategy while driving toward your product vision. You’ll wear many hats, building relationships across the entire organization in order to effectively drive nuance and impact on top of a global platform, which means every day will be different.

What You’ll Do

  • Hire, retain, and coach a team of product managers to execute your product strategy
  • Determine resourcing needs for your team and make compelling requests for additions when required
  • Collaborate with key business partners and our leadership team to influence our international strategy while developing a supporting product roadmap
  • Utilize data to understand customer needs and behaviors to identify the highest impact customer problems to solve and opportunities to pursue
  • Form a deep understanding of the needs and expectations of our international customers and become the chief advocate for them across the organization
  • Break down complex problems and back up your recommendations with quantitative and qualitative reasoning
  • Monitor performance of your focus area and measure impact of your product enhancements
  • Significantly improve the end-to-end shopping experience for over 200 million existing customers and expand Wayfair’s reach to the next 200 million

What You’ll Need

  • Experience driving large projects across a complex organization
  • Track record building experiences that effectively solve a customer pain point and yield significant business impact
  • Ability to think and perform both tactically and strategically
  • Excellent analytical skills with demonstrated experience turning data into actionable insights
  • Deep understanding of business strategy and metrics
  • Ability to multi-task and work well within a dynamic, fast-paced organization
  • Positive, people-oriented, and energetic attitude
  • Experience leading a team and proven ability to coach effectively
