Employee Engagement Specialist

We are looking for an Employee Engagement Specialist who will be focused on providing a best-in-class employee experience at our Springfield, OR contact center. This is an exciting opportunity to work directly with employees at all levels, including senior leadership, while leading the execution of our global engagement strategy at the local level. What You’ll Do

  • Plan, promote and oversee logistics for events such as site-wide celebrations / holidays, employee recognition, wellness activities, performance contests, “New Hire Orientation” and more
  • Establish relationships with community partners and coordinate onsite and offsite volunteer events for employees
  • Responsible for all engagement-related communication (ex. events, volunteer opportunities, etc.) to the employees and create content for digital site-specific “Engagement Hub” page and update site events calendar on a regular cadence 
  • Manage and track site engagement budget and ensure funds are allocated appropriately based on team and site needs per quarter 
  • Gather feedback and analyze data for reporting to leadership on site performance and engagement activity effectiveness; responsible for improving employee NPS at the site level and driving employee participation in onsite events, wellness activities, and volunteer days 
  • Partner with senior leadership to understand performance challenges, identify employee concerns and discuss opportunities to improve overall employee satisfaction  
  • Work cross-functionally with other onsite support groups, including Community Operations, Training and Administrative Assistants, and other Engagement Specialists 

What You’ll Need

  • 2 years experience in Employee Engagement or Event Planning
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interface effectively across all levels of the organization and build internal and external relationships 
  • Experience with the following: event, budget and project management plus the ability to work independently or in a team setting 
  • Strong organization and time management skills with the ability to accurately prioritize work across multiple projects and work within deadlines
  • Ability to adapt to business needs, changing environments and “roll up your sleeves” – this is a very hands-on role 
  • Must have flexibility in schedule to attend or participate in community or corporate events outside of designated working hours when necessary 
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and Google Suite (G-Mail, GoogleSheets, GoogleForms); experience utilizing Adobe Creative Suite to create posters, etc. a plus!
