Employee Relations Senior Associate  

The Senior Employee Relations Associate will play an important role in Wayfair´s Talent Relations team. Talent Relations is committed to creating a workplace culture of openness, understanding and support. We help to foster trusting working relationships that drive productivity, a culture of strong performance, engagement and accountability. We encourage mutual responsibility for constructive work relationships and communication; information sharing; problem solving; and a safe, neutral process through which differences can be managed. We provide managers and employees with practical solutions to organizational and personal challenges so that they can focus on what matters. As part of our team we´re seeking a driven, hands on Senior Employee Relations (ER) Associate who will take the lead on everything ER related. The ideal person will have a passion for creating a positive ER culture, as well as the skills to support all of our employees on matters impacting their working lives.

What You'll Do

  • You´ll partner directly with employees and managers, guiding them on all aspects of Employee Relations from performance management, to resolving complaints, to managing absence.
  • You´ll provide fair, consistent and unbiased advice to all Wayfairians on any Employee Relations matters impacting their working lives.
  • You´ll take ownership for our Talent Relations policies, keeping them updated and legally compliant, as well as advising employees and managers on them.
  • You´ll proactively identify Employee Relations trends through analysing data, and you´ll work with other members of the team to address root causes and create solutions. You´ll also take the lead on creating a cadence of regular reporting.
  • You´ll work with other members of the Talent Relations team on ad-hoc projects.

What You'll Need

  • You´ll have 2-3 years experience managing Employee Relations cases in a fast-paced environment
  • You have a good understanding of German labour law
  • Your German language skills, both spoken and written, are fluent
  • You have experience building empathetic relationships with a diverse group of employees, with the ability to tailor your communication style as needed
  • You demonstrate the ability and desire to work in a high-growth, ambiguous working environment where no two days are ever the same (and it´s never boring!)
