Overview: The Global Operations team is looking for a Global Freight Operations Assistant Manager to lead a team to act as the central hub of process & information as it relates to global container movements from Factory to Fulfillment Centers. As an integral member of this supply chain team, you’ll be able to put your stamp on the design and execution of a very unique and proprietary logistics network as we continue to scale. We are looking for an energetic, collaborative minded leader, with an entrepreneurial spirit.This is a highly visible and exciting role for the company and one that will offer the right candidate an opportunity to lead part of one of our core operational functions. 

What You'll Do

  • You will support direct reports by building and maintaining an inclusive team culture and fostering their professional development.
  • You will lead, motivate, guide and manage the performance for a team of associates tasked with executing Drayage movements. You will work to remove roadblocks and assist them in managing and improving processes of their daily tasks.
  • You'll help lead efforts to transform existing processes into highly scalable solutions capable of providing real-time updates to various stakeholders such as suppliers, forecasting teams, transportation, sales teams, and others.
  • You will work with various teams (Fulfillment Centers, Freight, Finance, Technology, and others) to help build world-class exception processes aimed at proactively partnering with key stakeholders in the event of a service disruption. 
  • You will help create a compelling vision for the Global Freight Operations team and help gain support for this vision from senior leadership across the organization.

What You'll Need

  • Bachelor Degree Required
  • Experienced, with 3+ years working in fast-paced environments such as consulting or technology companies.
  • Great communicator that excels at getting cross-functional support for key initiatives.
  • Answer-first, business-oriented and data-driven decision maker that excels at creating actionable insights. Proactive issue resolution vs. reactive resolution will be key in this role.
  • Demonstrated ability to improve existing processes to drive key results and to stand up new processes quickly to support new initiatives
  • Experienced team leader. You have managed and achieved success leading a team of highly effective and multidisciplinary team of operations professionals.
  • Extremely organized, meticulous and detail oriented with the ability to see the story of how your work translates into data, cost savings and general operational excellence.
  • Familiarity with Supply Chain and/or Logistics industry is preferred but not required.
