Who We Are:

Wayfair is seeking a senior leader to drive editorial direction of our newest brand: Perigold. Perigold, Wayfair’s luxury brand, is looking for a full-time Head of Editorial to take our rapidly evolving brand to the next level and bring us closer to achieving our mission to become the trusted authority in luxury design.

The Head of Editorial will be responsible for Perigold’s POV – you will own and evolve our editorial and content strategy, inclusive of our brand’s style and trend direction. This role represents an exciting opportunity for an entrepreneurial individual to help shape our brand through our content strategy. The position includes ownership of many high-profile initiatives, including: the continued evolution of our print catalog program, as well as our cross-channel content (e-mail, site, and social media), as well as the ability to influence how our content strategy comes to life in the forthcoming launch of physical retail and the brand’s international expansion. The Head of Editorial will report to Perigold’s Global Head of Brand & Curated Merchandising, who will be leading this team and reporting directly to the General Manager of Perigold.

This person will also be responsible for building our influencer and partnership strategy to support our content – collaborating with our vendor and designer partners to bring our strategy to life. Successful candidates for this role will have a passion for home furnishings and interior design as well as experience in developing content strategy, and they will excel at taking an analytical approach to problem-solving. Applicants should be adept at innovating and standing up new initiatives and possess strong communication, project management, and leadership skills.

What You'll Do:

  • Oversee editorial strategy, including style and trend direction, ownership of our editorial calendar, and development and execution of concepts across channels to support our mission to become the trusted authority in luxury design.
  • Own and communicate Perigold’s style and trend direction, staying abreast of relevant market and interior design trends and infusing them into relevant content across channels
  • Collaborate productively with cross-functional partners (Creative, Marketing, PR, Image Production and Category Management) to drive action and realize goals
  • Oversee a team of three direct reports, including 2 to support content strategy and 1 Visual Merchandiser
  • Drive content strategy for our print catalog, including creative briefs and partnerships with interior designers and suppliers
  • Build and scale an effective (and measurable) partnership strategy with interior designers to build awareness and credibility for the brand
  • Brief and partner closely with Perigold’s in-house Creative team to bring our content to life across channels
  • Partner with CMO, as well as Brand Management and Merchandising teams, to drive omni-channel campaigns and secure buy-in from channel stakeholders

What You'll Need

  • Bachelor's degree with a strong academic record
  • 8+ years of relevant experience – must have experience developing content strategy within the interior design and/or home furnishing industries
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills – the ability to look for (and find) answers in the data and to balance this data-driven approach with creative thinking
  • Savvy, quick, and creative thinking skills and comfort in a dynamic, sometimes ambiguous, fast-moving environment
  • Articulate, persuasive communication abilities
  • Innovative, outside-the-box problem-solving skills – willingness to push the status quo and bring new perspective to projects
  • True team-player attitude – a positive, enthusiastic, helpful disposition
  • Luxury brand experience a plus
