We are seeking a motivated leader who can develop our career development and performance strategy capabilities to ensure that our process is a major contributor to the success of the company and the engagement & satisfaction of our employees. This leader will own the analytics and tech stack associated with our performance process. 

This role is based in Boston and sits on the Talent leadership team with significant cross-functional responsibility and exposure to senior executives. The Head of Global Career Development should expect to manage a medium-sized team that will grow as volume and strategy dictate and will have significant influence over cross functional roadmaps. 

Responsibilities:

  • Develop vision and plan for the evolution of the career development & performance processes across field/frontline, corporate/tech and executive leadership team. 
  • Drive a culture of performance equity across all teams & geographies. 
  • Translate career development strategy into execution plans; own the outcomes. 
  • Develop a highly-capable team of new and existing employees to support Wayfair’s business growth at scale. 
  • Partner with all teams across the company to ensure our evolving career development philosophy supports and enhances our goals.  
  • Lead a team that manages the execution of our continuous development processes throughout the entire company.
  • Partner with the Wayfair Talent teams to ensure collaboration across all parts of Wayfair. 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree 
  • Demonstrated talent experience, including experience in tech and/or ecommerce 
  • Strong business management skills; demonstrated ability to create and lead important strategic initiatives
  • Ability to implement strategic plans and drive results with multiple teams and stakeholders; inspire and motivate teams to bring future state vision to life
  • Demonstrated ability to thrive in a dynamic environment
  • Strong quantitative acumen; data-driven decision-making
  • Able to collaborate across all levels of the organization to achieve objectives
  • MBA preferred
