Head of Sales for North America, International Supply Chain

The International Supply Chain (ISC) team is looking for a Head of Sales for North America that can build upon our rapid growth over the last 4 years helping to define the North American Sales and Service (NASAS) operating model and team culture. 

In this role, you will:

  • Build an ISC sales team from the ground up
  • Develop ISC sales capabilities and processes in support of ISC growth objectives
  • Co-create sales targets and segment strategy with stakeholders including carrier management and Account Management
  • Identify and develop business tools with the relevant cross-functional teams to support ISC as the organization scales
  • Support in strategic activities such as identifying & signing on new business partners, pricing strategies, and market research 
  • Build and scale business processes for new products/business opportunities
  • Identify key business metrics for reporting and layout process for regular and accurate sales reporting

Qualifications:

  • 8+ years ocean freight sales either as part of an ocean liner and/or freight forwarder. WIth a proven sales track record.
  • Preferred prior experience in building sales teams, tech and processes 
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently in an fast moving environment with certain level of ambiguity
  • Experience in negotiations/sales processes with suppliers / vendors
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Analytical, creative, and innovative approach to problem solving
  • Ability to work effectively with people in a cross-functional environment
  • Entrepreneurial spirit and ability to work well in a fast paced, data driven company
  • Willingness to travel for tradeshows and strategic supplier visits
  • Bachelor's degree
