Are you looking to join a fast-growing, entrepreneurial team within Wayfair that uses data and insights to improve the customer experience and drive revenue growth? The Global B2C Sales team is Wayfair’s pre-sale customer support and solution engine. We use data and machine learning to understand customer needs on a personalized, shopping session level and use these insights in real-time to connect customers with the optimal experience and expertise. We deliver this expertise through a range of digital and analog tools - chatbot, SMS, Whatapp, and phone support with deep category knowledge to help customers navigate through our extensive catalog. This is a key element of how we can increasingly delight our customers by providing them with a faster and better solution to their needs, while driving further affinity for our brand. 

The European B2C Sales team already supports our DE and UK customers through phone support provided by a dedicated field sales team. We are poised for explosive growth to help Wayfair address the estimated €350B+ European home goods market. To fuel this growth, we are looking for a few exceptional individuals to join our leadership team and drive overall strategy, program and product management across the Global B2C organization and cross-functionally with the rest of Wayfair EU. This includes partnering with teams such as Category Management, Merchandising, Marketing, Operations, Service, and Engineering.

The ideal candidate will have deep, relevant experience from roles in e-commerce, management consulting, or corporate strategy - ideally in a high-growth environment. You know how to move quickly and leverage what works to make your team successful; you are motivated by the challenge of creating and executing a bold, new vision; you enjoy the mix of deep strategic thinking and “roll-up-your-sleeves-to-get-it-done” activity.

 

What you’ll do

  • Develop the long-term organization and operational strategy. This will include supporting and driving Wayfair’s country and category expansion in Europe; technology capabilities that enable improved customer experience and communication; specialized expertise that expand Wayfair’s total addressable market; and more 
  • Drive cross-functional goals, projects, and business reviews with key stakeholder teams (product, engineering, data science, marketing, category management)
  • Lead the operating cadence of the business, establishing and refining KPIs that define the success of our field sales organization

What you’ll need

  • Experience in e-commerce, management consulting or corporate strategy 
  • Track record of driving tangible results across teams in a fast paced / ambiguous environment with a collaborative approach
  • Ability to build trust and influence with a wide range of stakeholders from Wayfair’s most senior executives to peers across Wayfair EU and our customer-facing sales organization 
  • Crisp, clear, tailored communication and an affinity for socializing complexity with ease to a variety of audiences
  • Fluency in Excel and ability to quickly draw insights with data. Experience with SQL, Tableau, and similar tools is a plus. 
  • An insatiable appetite to understand “why” something is the way it is (sales agent behavior, backend data infrastructure, data science models, test results, customer journeys, etc.)
