To support that, we are looking to hire a talented, hands-on Industrial Engineering Manager for our European Warehouse Design and Automation team. You will work on the implementation of our new e-commerce warehouses and contribute to the further functional and geographical expansion in Europe.

What You'll Do

  • Support the material flow and area planning for our warehouse operations in Europe with a focus on order picking technologies and warehouse automation
  • Identify key opportunities to leverage and improve processes affecting the warehouse operations and propose relevant warehousing technologies for our sites throughout Europe
  • Assist the procurement of various supply chain automation solutions including hardware, software & supporting technology
  • Work with our suppliers and analyze their concepts in detail
  • Develop forward-thinking, innovative warehouse initiatives to boost efficiency
  • Support the implementation of material handling systems that enable capacity and productivity improvements
  • Plan processes and design warehouse layouts (AutoCAD, SketchUp)
  • Evaluate and document processes and concepts, prepare business cases and decision memos
  • You will work from our European headquarters in Berlin, Germany (30% travel required)

What You'll Need

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in industrial engineering, business administration, supply chain management, or a comparable field with an above-average GPA
  • Several years of practical experience and/or equivalent combination of education and experience in warehouse planning, material flow planning, or logistics consulting with a focus on warehouse automation
  • Fluent in English, German is beneficial
  • Detail orientation, strong analytical and organizational skills
  • At least intermediate level in Microsoft Office
  • Effective communication with business partners both local and remote; excellent communication skills; the ability to handle multiple competing priorities; and a strong customer focus
  • At least intermediate level in AutoCAD and/ or SketchUp, Navisworks is beneficial
  • First experience with data mining techniques (SQL) is beneficial
