Warehouse IT support is a customer-focused/facing extension of Corporate IT, dedicated to the usability and support of desktop computing technologies and related systems in the warehouse environment. The Warehouse IT Support Manager will lead a team of Tier 1,Tier 2 technicians and Warehouse IT managers. Ensuring world-class technical support for warehouse management systems, applications, network, hardware, and related services for internal employees.

 

What You'll Do

Delegate tasks and provide clear direction to a team of 10 + engineers.

You will act as a point of ticket and systems outage escalation for engineers.

Create and manage reports to upper-level management about all aspects of IT technical management including SLAs.

Manage IT Projects and platform updates, changes, and deployments.

Track progress, timelines and challenges and communicate them to project stakeholders.

You will handle unknown challenges, roadblocks, and dependencies effectively.

Communicate with Warehouse Management relevant IT changes affecting business practices, workflow, and SOPs for warehouse employees.

Assist in developing, maintaining, and communicating all new or updated processes, procedures, and other relevant operational information to Engineers.

Develop and set short term and strategic goals for area of responsibility.

You will review and thoughtfully critique your team’s work regularly, providing actionable feedback and helpful suggestions.

Ensure operational efficiency for our desktop computing and technical warehouse infrastructure.

Collaborate across cross functional engineering and business teams to solve high impact incidents with a sense of urgency by providing quality and accurate information.

Develop and set short term and strategic goals for area of responsibility.

Travel between multiple locations in UK at least once a quarter.

 

What You'll Need

Track record of success in developing relationships with stakeholders, working collaboratively and leveraging influence to drive multi-departmental projects.

Graduated from a 4-year college or BA/BS degree from university in relevant field or equivalent experience

5+ years of experience in people management and managing teams in remote locations

Excellent interpersonal and team building skills

A mindset to solve problems with analytical, creative, and innovative approach

Warehouse Fulfillment Center/Distribution Center IT support experience a plus

SQL knowledge a plus

Experience with a help desk ticketing system is a must; knowledge of Service Now is a plus

Prior warehouse operations/warehouse management system(WMS) experience a plus

Good organizational skills, sound business judgment, and excellent written/verbal skills

Ability to work on-site in a 24/7 Warehouse environment to assist in supporting physical hardware/infrastructure when needed
