The EU Partner Operations group at Wayfair in Berlin is looking for a Senior Analyst to join our Cost Improvement and Fulfillments Speed team. As a team, we work on enhancing the performance of our supplier partners to deliver a great experience for our customers by optimising our operational network. We use data insights to identify opportunity areas, set up cross-functional projects to test our hypotheses, and scale the solutions that work.

What You’ll Do

  • Identify the most impactful ways for data to drive insights and accelerate profitable growth.
  • Comprehend, extract, and massage information from complex data sources including sales, operations, logistics, product, and customer databases to deliver business insights and recommendations.
  • Become the subject matter expert for data, insights, and testing within the Supply Chain organization to ensure accurate and proper interpretation of core business metrics and consumer behavior.
  • Perform deep-dive analysis to solve some of the more critical and complex business problems including supplier segmentation and supply chain optimization.
  • Collaborate with other functional areas (e.g. finance, data solutions, operations managers, data science) to create and evaluate project ideas and drive their implementation to validate your insights and scale working solutions across our supply chain to achieve meaningful impact

What You’ll Need

  • Strong commercial awareness, business acumen, problem solving skills
  • Proficient knowledge of SQL (incl. window functions et al.).
  • Hands-on experience conducting quantitative analyses on large data sets; experience with Excel (pivot tables, vlookup, etc.) and Data Studio
  • Solution-oriented & curious mindset
  • Strong written and verbal communication
  • Bachelors or Masters in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Analytics, Mathematics, Statistics, Information Systems, Economics, Management, Social Sciences or other quantitative discipline fields with a strong academic record.

What we would love to see

  • Ecommerce, supply chain or financial analytics experience is a strong plus.
  • Experience in an analytics, business intelligence, data science or engineering role performing quantitative analysis
  • Other structured programming languages (Python, R)
