Senior Learning Experience Designer

What’s the Role?

Wayfair is looking for an experienced designer to create best-in-class modern learning solutions within North America Customer Service. This role is a balance of learning/user experience design and development, standard creation, and program management. To be successful in this role, you should have proven experience delivering learning solutions end to end and a pulse on emerging trends. You will provide a dynamic suite of integrated and personalized learning experiences within North American Customer Service organization (including New Hire Training, Continuous Upskilling, and Management & Leadership Development). 

What You'll Do

  • Partner with stakeholders across North America and EU Customer Service to manage the design and implementation of end-to-end learning experiences (eLearning, instructor-led: face to face and virtual, self-paced and micro-learning) 
  • Create and manage scalable processes for executing and delivering against learning design requests across the organization
  • Create learner-centric solutions which improve performance results
  • Support change management initiatives by recommending appropriate performance/learning interventions, such as classroom, eLearning, and virtual/remote training modules
  • Consult with business leaders and stakeholders and provide thought leadership on modern learning approaches, tools and technologies
  • Proactively work to identify and fill knowledge gaps found in the organization through data-driven insights
  • Conduct regular quality checks on existing training programs to ensure alignment with current business needs

What You'll Need

  • 5+ years of experience working as an Instructional Designer, Learning Experience Designer, or in a similar position within a corporate setting
  • 5+ years developing eLearning, micro-learning, blended learning - experience with Articulate 360 preferred (Adobe Creative Suite a plus) at an advanced level
  • 2+ years experience of designing and developing technical training using WalkMe or a similar technology
  • 2+ years of experience managing design projects from ideation to implementation
  • 2+ years experience in UX design and/or design thinking
  • Advanced degree in Education, Learning and Development, Organizational Development or related field strongly preferred
  • Foundational knowledge of instructional design models, theory, and principles
  • Foundational knowledge of educational pedagogy, neuroscience, design thinking and User Experience Design
  • Ability to create templates for eLearning, ILT, VILT, etc.
  • Exceptional storytelling skills and experience visualizing data to tell a story that drives business decisions
  • Proven experience evolving internal processes and templates to minimize future content development time and drive scale
  • Proven experience managing multiple and complex projects, responsible for meeting deadlines, reporting progress and impediments to stakeholders and Sr. Leadership, measuring success based on business goals and metrics.
  • Proven experience leveraging Learning Management Systems (experience with Cornerstone or Axonify is a plus)
  • Proven competency with reporting/analysis to drive decision making
  • You are able to analyze data and identify solutions with in-depth needs analysis and performance consultation with stakeholders
