Manager, EU Partner Operations

As part of our ambitious expansion plans, we are seeking a Manager to support the growing needs of our Partner Operations Growth team. This team provides a world-class service to Wayfair’s supplier partners as they expand across Wayfair geographies. We do this through strategic account management and a structured sales environment. We create specific solutions for our supplier portfolio with the goal of launching and scaling their business in new Wayfair geographies. What You’ll Do

  • Lead an assigned portfolio of key strategic suppliers, contributing to the goal of driving Wayfair EU expansion and CastleGate adoption

  • Identify and remove operational barriers and generally co-manage an operational work plan for each supplier with our account management team

  • Effectively respond to operational issues for your portfolio as well as complex escalated issues, ensuring proper resolution

  • Recognize, document, and share trends in supplier inquiries and challenges with senior team members

  • Contribute to the development of tools and processes which make our team and suppliers more efficient and effective

  • Collaborate across operations, category management, data integration and warehouse teams to ensure supplier success when launching in the EU

  • Work based in Boston, with occasional travel to the regional offices and tradeshows to visit key suppliers and build new supplier relationships (3-6 times per year)

What You’ll Need

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience

  • 5-7+ years of professional experience in partnerships, management consulting, sales or account management

  • Demonstrated ability to manage and prioritize projects and delegate tasks appropriately

  • Innovative problem-solving skills – dissect and determine root causes of problems, and implement solutions

  • Strong negotiation skills, with the ability to speak to business owners and senior supplier executives at eye level

  • A track record of taking on big challenges and delivering despite obstacles and limited resources

  • Experience in business and data analytics, Excel, SQL a plus

  • Articulate and persuasive communication skills, both written and verbal for internal problem dissection and resolution as well as customer-facing communications

  • An ability to hit the ground running – a confident, entrepreneurial self-starter

  • Demonstrated senior presence, recognized as an effective manager - experience managing others, preferred

  • Fluency in Mandarin and/or Chinese language skills, a plus
