Who We Are:

The Global Supply Chain Capacity Planning team is looking for a Manager of Network Orchestration, to support our growing fulfillment network with storage optimization initiatives. Our team works to create a framework around current state operations, while building a foundation for growth and sustainability for the future.

You will work on standardization and optimization of storage media within our small and large parcel fulfillment centers. This key role will collaborate closely with Industrial Engineering, Operations and Safety to invent best in class solutions to the unique challenges of furniture and home goods fulfillment.

What You’ll Do:

  • Own all aspects of capacity planning within your geographic region for small parcel and large parcel fulfillment centers (4-5 sites)
  • Build and maintain robust capacity reporting that challenges the operation to improve on key metrics (bin fill rate, inventory quality, etc.) while accurately representing the capabilities to our network management team (S&OP)
  • Develop regular continuous improvement initiatives to problem solve storage solutions that lead to net capacity increases while maintaining or improving employee safety and product quality
  • Invent and adapt new ways to store products that are not yet in our fulfillment network to support continued growth of Wayfair’s CastleGate Fulfillment Platform
  • Partner with operations to build sustainable and cost effective consolidation programs that maintain high bin fill rate to promote denser picking and optimize for product velocity
  • Domestic Travel Required - up to 30%

What You'll Need: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Supply Chain/Operations or relevant degree
  • 4+ years of applicable experience within Operations and End-to-end supply chain management
  • Experience managing and executing large projects from start to finish including project management, data gathering and modeling, problem solving and communicating recommendations
  • Proficiency with SQL, MS and Google suite - ability to analyze large data sets to deliver clear and actionable insights
  • Challenge existing standards and advocate for improvements by setting new standards
  • Proficient ability to work cross-functionally with a variety of stakeholders
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Senior presence; able to clearly and consistently partner with a broad range of levels and functions to achieve objective
