Manager - Site Optimization - Wayfair Delivery Network
Who We Are:
The Global Supply Chain Capacity Planning team is looking for a Manager to support overall Large Parcel initiatives. Our team works to create a framework around current state operations, while building a foundation for growth and sustainability for the future.
As a Manager within GSSCP, you will be driving key initiatives to identify and minimize Home Delivery site constraints, improving supply chain reliability and increasing overall speed and value servicing customer demand.
What You'll Do:
- Create and manage constraint planning to drive overall supply chain speed; node to node planning based on accurate daily operational goals and targets providing transparent flow to the customer
- Manage and support implementation of redesigned Large Parcel network - owning physical limitations of end to end flow of goods through the cross dock operation.
- Partner with operations teams to drive overall KPIs directly impacting customer demand
- Partner with Industrial Engineering to improve overall building performance and efficient max throughput from the sites
- Engage and improve high volume/peak event planning; identifying, creating and driving risk mitigating strategies
- Generates and assesses metrics for dissemination of trends that affect service quality and accuracy through the use of analyzing master data and optimizing engineering tools
- Manage projects related to Labor Management, Warehouse management and Process Improvement; supporting overall operation planning.
- Travel required – 30%
What You'll Need:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Supply Chain/Operations or relevant degree
- 4+ years of applicable experience within Operations and End-to-end supply chain management
- Experience managing and executing large projects from start to finish including project management, data gathering and modeling, problem solving and communicating recommendations
- Proficiency with SQL, MS and Google suite - ability to analyze large data sets to deliver clear and actionable insights
- Challenge existing standards and advocate for improvements by setting new standards
- Proficient ability to work cross-functionally with a variety of stakeholders
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Senior presence; able to clearly and consistently partner with a broad range of levels and functions to achieve objective
