Wayfair is seeking a Manager to drive the Headcount and Organizational Analytics function and enable Wayfair’s rapid growth. This is a fast-paced role in which you will oversee the creation, innovation, automation, and communication of workforce planning and headcount reporting.  In this role, you will have the opportunity to shape processes, drive decision-making, and implement new tools with our finance and business partners.

This role will be central to building out Wayfair’s workforce planning strategy and the analytics tools to help business leaders, recruiting, and finance make better decisions about the organization’s growth.  The ideal candidate is analytical, self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work cross-functionally.  This role requires regular interaction with senior stakeholders so written and verbal communication is key.

Who You Are:

  • Drive the long-term roadmap for scalable headcount reporting including but not limited to automation and consolidation
  • Present a cohesive headcount narrative that is easy to follow and can be customized for various audiences
  • Conduct scenario planning and trend analysis to predict the future state of headcount using SQL, Python, and/or R
  • Diagnose and solve data discrepancies in partnership with our business partners and Business Intelligence teams
  • Create visualizations and user-friendly dashboards to facilitate ongoing monitoring of metrics using Visier, our visualization platform
  • Scope headcount projects and processes end-to-end including communications, change management, and action items needed from cross-functional partners
  • Partner closely with FP&A to run our financial forecasts for talent and integrate cost planning into our approach
  • Partner closely with SVPs / HRBPs to make sure we have accurate plans and update on how we are tracking towards plans vs actuals
  • Work closely with Talent Acquisition to inform recruiting priorities and capacity planning
  • Play a leadership role on the broader People Analytics team

What You’ll Need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in either a quantitative field (e.g., economics, math, statistics, engineering), or other major with significant quantitative coursework (GPA >3.5 preferred)
  • 4+ years of experience in an analytical role in a fast-paced environment, preferably in finance, consulting, or technology (in addition to any graduate education)
  • Intermediate to advanced excel skills, experience using Python/R and SQL to write scalable code; experience with data visualization tools a bonus
  • Ability to leverage data-driven insights to inform business decisions
  • Integrity and honesty, and, above all, a respect for complete confidentiality
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment where there can be degrees of ambiguity
  • Ability to identify and succinctly summarize roadblocks and constraints, propose potential solutions, and drive towards resolution
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills including the ability to craft a narrative using data and influence senior stakeholders
